General
The
PC/POLL SYSTEMS’ staff has been working diligently to enhance Version 6
Polling to offer their users the most reliable polling package on the market.
Within build 640, the staff has implemented several underlying
programming changes to enhance the software’s overall performance.
A few extra steps were necessarily added to fully implement these
changes.
Throughout build 640, users will be notified that the software is loading
information.
Please be patient and let the software load the tables.
Along with performance changes, build 640 includes the interfacing
capability to PC/POLL SYSTEMS’ newest release: Version 6 Inventory build 135.

The PC/POLL SYSTEMS’ staff would like to invite all our users to
download this new version to experience the enhanced functionality.
Below are a few additional modifications that were added to Version 6
Polling.
CRS
- The PLU sales program was added to the 3000.
This program allows users to set a time range for a sale price on an
item to take effect. During
that time range when the user sends the PLU file to the register the program
will send the sale price. After
the sale expires the program send the regular price when the PLU file is
sent to the register.
- The Condiment Tables, Coupon, and Special Item Stock
program areas now display the PLU descriptors to allow for easier user
programming.
- The Function Keys and Time Activate program areas now
have a function finder to allow for easier user programming.
- Cashier report now only prints groups that
are selected in the Print Control program area.
- In the past some users were experiencing duplication
within their program and report lists.
That error has been corrected.
Samsung
- The PLU sales program was added to all Samsung
registers. This program allows
users to set a time range for a sale price on an item to take effect.
During that time range when the user sends the PLU file to the
register the program will send the sale price.
After the sale expires the program send the regular price when the
PLU file is sent to the register.
- General 5100 changes such as user prompts for easier
use of the program and minor report enhancements.
- PLU Changes-Only send is available for all Samsung
registers except for the 5100.
- General changes to the 1000 within the Grand Totals,
Product Projections, Time Keeping, and Group by Time Period reports.
- The 650 now fully supports large PLU files.
- The 650 NLU and Stock program areas now display PLU
descriptors for easier user programming.
Sharp
- The PLU sales program was
added to all Sharp registers. This
program allows users to set a time range for a sale price on an item to take
effect. During that time range
when the user sends the PLU file to the register the program will send the
sale price. After the sale
expires the program send the regular price when the PLU file is sent to the
register.
- Sharp 3300 Direct Keys and
Keyboard programs can be saved, sent, and maintained from within Version 6
Polling. Note:
When sending the Keyboard to the register the software will
automatically send several other programs to the register.
These other programs are required in order for the register to update
its keyboard. Please send the
Keyboard when the register is not in use.
- A modification has been
made to the 3300 Direct Keys print preview.
- The Sharp 450 register now
works with PC/POLL SYSTEMS’ QuickBooks Interface V2.
- Incorrect values on 600/700
Preset program has been corrected.
- The PLU Type field on the
600/700 PLU area has been changed to allow incorrect PLUs to be saved from
the register.
- The software was displaying
incorrect GT totals for the negative area on the GT program as well as on
the Transaction report. That
error should be corrected for the 600/700 registers.
- Key Capture X report has been added to the 600/700.
- Sharp 600/700 now has a PLU send, PLU Changes-Only,
PLU Append, Department Append, and Department Changes-Only.
TEC
- The software
has been modified to support negative numbers where appropriate for all TEC
registers.
- The customer
program area will now support large and negative values.
- Auto export
works properly for all TEC consolidated reports.
- Default
values were added to the Age Limit program on the MA 1650.
