PC/POLL has added restructuring capabilities to the Version Six program, which allows us to quickly adjust to ROM modifications, thus enhancing development speed. Users who have not done a full install since March 1st may receive a message stating that the program is “Unable to find tblscn.dll.” This message will not cause the program to stop working, but it will prevent users from accessing some of the newly added features. This new build also includes added logging features that insert time stamps into the software’s Comm Log.

Users now have the option to print the keyboard or key link overlay without grid lines. This new format merges the key boxes together to allow for easier placement of the overlay on the register.
PC/POLL SYSTEMS’ Version 6 software now supports the 6500 II. By downloading and installing the new version, users will be able to create a machine with the 2.05 ROM. (Note: We are using 2.05 for the ROM definition based on the value that is returned by the register after doing a 10 subtotal 8 x-time command.)
Advancements were made in the header information that is displayed on the 6500 reports along with many minor report corrections and field additions.
On the CRS 3000, function keys such as G. C. Redeem, Debit, and Eject, were added to the Function Key maintenance area as well as to the Keyboard overlay area.
The difficulty with saving the Price Schedule program on the 3000 when the memory allocation is set to zero has been corrected.
Version 6 now supports Coupons on the CRS 2.24 ROM. This new build also allows coupons without CLU numbers to be saved and sent.
On the CRS PLU form a Gift and a Discount Category field has been added. In order to take advantage of these fields you must have the tblscn.dll installed on your system. Completing a Save All Programs from the register is necessary before you can send the PLU file to the register.
Modifications were made to some of the fields contained in the 3000 reports. This should allow OBDC drivers to open all the report databases within Access97. In order to have the change take affect, users must again have the tblscn.dll and either run their 3000 reports or simply open the reports within the Data area of the software.
The Preset area is now saving and sending on the 750. This allows users to program their Optional Features, Secret Codes, Zero Skip, and Interval Timer areas. Some users may experience difficulty saving this file from the register. If this occurs, delete the *.db and *.px Preset files from your C:\Version Six Data directory and try the save again or contact support@pcpoll.com.
The block size mismatch on the 750 Ingredient file has now been fixed.
The 750 Function Keys are now being saved to the register.
The Condiment Table form has been enlarged to properly display all the entry areas. The detail area also safeguards against users placing blanks between two PLU number entries. If there are gaps the following message will be displayed:
The 750 now sends the computer’s date and time to the register when the Date Time program is sent.
Some of the 750 detail screens have been altered to include features of the 3300. These added features will appear to be grayed out within the 750 area and will not be sent to the register.
Advancements have been made to the Sharp UP-3300. Now users are able to save, send, and maintain many more files including Department, PLU, Employee, Server, and Condiment Tables. Due to the additions users should delete their old 3300 machines and recreate them.
