The error 1 indicates that the ECR has sent data that is not within the predefined specifications outlined by CRS. The polling software verifies the data integrity as it is received, and therefore generates a 'value range error' when 'bad data' is encountered. The Error 1 message is displayed instead of the otherwise fatal 201 error, so that our end users/dealers can readily identify the problem and report it.
The fix for this error in all cases is an EPROM upgrade. The following information will assist in determining the new version EPROM when upgrading:
