SHARP ECR Programming
SHARP Required Programming
During the initial setup of the SHARP registers, the Machine
Number, Terminal Number, Baud Rate and Polling Port must be programmed at the
register. The Store Number, Machine Number and Baud Rate entered in the Machine
Information Table in the software must match those entered into the register. It
is HIGHLY recommended that you have a cash register dealer perform these
operations.

Turn the key to PGM2
Enter 2690 + decimal point + @/For + 1 + @/For + 1000(port 1) + Subtotal + Cash
Or
Enter 2690 + decimal point + @/For + 1 + @/For + 8000(port 2) + Subtotal + Cash
Baud Rate
This register's baud rate defaults to 19,200
Sharp 450
Port Designation
Turn the key to PGM2
Enter 2690 + decimal point + @/For + 1 + @/For + 1000(port 1) + Subtotal + Cash
Or
Enter 2690 + decimal point + @/For + 1 + @/For + 8000(port 2) + Subtotal + Cash
Baud Rate
This register's baud rate defaults to 9,600

Select Online and set your channel number
Baud Rate and Terminal No.
Turn the key to PGM2 mode
Select Online Setting
Set the first option for your terminal no. and set the fourth option for
your baud rate.

Select Terminal
Select Machine# and set the machine#

Enter SRV mode
Select Setting
Select Device Assign
Select Online
Set the first option for your terminal no. and set the second option for your
channel no.

Enter PGM2 mode
Select Online Setting
Set the first option for your terminal no. and set the fourth option for your
baud rate
Machine Number
Enter PGM2 mode
Select Setting
Select Terminal
Select Machine# and set the machine#
EPROM Version
One of the first thing needed in Polling is your EPROM version. To find the
EPROM version in your SHARP register, do the following:
- Make sure the register is in PGM2.
- Press 959, @/For key, then Cash and the EPROM will print on the receipt
tape or appear on the screen depending on the register.
