SHARP Communicating and Reporting

Version 6 builds 585 and greater have the capability to either append or overwrite program information when sending to the register.

For example, the Sharp 450, 750, 770, 3300 and 3301 have two options when sending the PLU

1. PLU: Sends the PLU file to the cash register and OVERWRITES the old PLU file information. The PLU daily and period reports are zeroed when this occurs.
2. PLU Append: Sends the PLU file and ADDS the additional changes to the existing PLU file. This does NOT clear the totals in the daily and periodic PLU reports.

Programs that can be appended or sent to the register:

• Department (450, 750, 770, 3300)
• PLU (450, 750, 770, 3300)
• UPC Program (450 only)
