Security
Pressing the Security button will display this screen.

The Machine Identification box displays your machine’s ID. This will change
when anything major changes about the computer’s setup (addition/removal of
hardware, connection to a network, etc.).
The Date Range displays the day on which the software
will expire. Obtaining a new Release Code from PC/POLL SYSTEMS can extend this
date. When there are 15 days left before the program expires, a window will
appear upon opening the program. It will contain a notification window
displaying the number of days until the software expires.
The Serial Number section either displays the customer's
software serial number or DEMO, if the user is currently evaluating the
software. The Number of Machines displays the number of licensed machines
the user can create with the software.
The Code Version Date and Your Computer's Date display
information about the system. The Code Version Date will be needed to tell
PC/POLL which version of the software you are running. Your Computer's
Date must be accurate in order for the release code to work.
The Date Release Code and Register Activation Codes are
release codes to allow entry to the software. The Date Code will populate
the Date Range, Serial Number and Number of Machine areas on the left side of
the screen. The Activation Code will "check-off" the necessary registers
on the right side.
The Obtain License Cancellation Code button generate a code
to deactivate the software on the computer. This code can be used when
customers are switching the software from one PC to another.
To obtain a new Release Code, either call PC/POLL at 563-556-2323 or
410-268-0733, e-mail
Sales2007@pcpoll.com
, or fax 563-556-0835 and give the Machine Identification listed in the window.
