3 Save All Programs
Next, Save All Programs from the cash register. This is necessary in order to
load the memory allocation and other information that can not be programmed from
the PC. This can either be done by saving all programs, or by saving individual
programs. It is recommended that all programs be saved at once during the
initial setup by using Save All Programs.
Select Communicate from the Main Menu. Hit Save All Programs and choose the
desired cash register from the list. Hit Select. This will begin the process of
saving all programs from the register. (It will begin by saving Memory
Allocation.)
If the computer cannot establish communications with the register, the
Communications screen will look similar to this. Select Cancel and try again.
Things to check if communicating was unsuccessful:
 |
Are all cables connected? |
 |
Is the correct baud rate programmed in both the register and the PC? |
 |
Has the correct port been designated for polling? |
 |
If connecting via modem, is it functioning properly? |
