Crucial Update Information

In order to enable all the new functionality of a new build of the Version 6 software, it is recommended that users delete and recreate their machines after installing the new copy of the software. By using the same Program ID for the new machine, none of the data will be lost.

Follow these steps to recreate a machine:

  1. Open the software.
  2. Click on the "Maintain" button.
  3. Highlight the relevant machine and click the "Edit" button.
  4. Click on the "Print" button in the lower right side of the screen to print current machine settings.
  5. Close the Machine Maintenance screen.
  6. From the Machine List, highlight the machine and click on the "Delete Machine" button.
  7. Using the printed copy of machine settings, "Add Machine" and recreate the machine (Enter information exactly as before).
  8. SAVE ALL PROGRAMS to verify register information and to save information into the newly added programs. Repeat for all applicable machines.

The reason for recreating a machine is to guarantee that all changes to the programs and reports will be implemented. Please note that duplicating a machine is not adequate – the machine must be completely recreated.
